Last week I visited an old ex girlfriend to catch up, after about a decade of living our own lives. I brought stuff to paint and she showed me how to make candles.
It got me thinking about the variations in interests we each have as individuals. I told another friend I had plans to make candles and she said “how boring!”. Sure, it’s a slow process, but I found it far from boring. Picking out all the colors and scents was actually enthralling… Did you know they make a scent that smells like dirt?
Anyway my point is that everyone needs hobbies. Doing the things you enjoy is not only psychologically beneficial for you, but also they give you character and personality. Boring people sit around and watch TV all day – don’t be boring. Get up, get out, and find an activity that you appreciate, regardless of what other people think.
